A/N- I don't know if law does or never gets his arm back, but I'm writing anyway. Sorry about writing him like this.

It wasn't an easy adjustment. Law never thought in his wildest dreams he would end up like this.  One day, being fully healthy, complete, uninjured, unharmed. And the next, pounding on the door of death- with one arm.

Law wasn't as strong as he used to be. He will never be as strong as he use to be- ever again. After loosing his arm, he somehow escaped death, only because of his allies and friends. Afterwards, he stopped being a pirate temporarily to become stronger- to prove those who say he is weak, that it's just the opposite. His crew remained with him, training and becoming stronger. But either way.

It was hard.
Putting on clothes.
Cooking.
Cleaning.
Reading.
Writing.
Doctoring.
Shopping.

Alone, that is.
But law had you.
In the morning, you would help him get dressed.
You would cook his food.
Clean up the submarine.
Help him read.
Write down the words that needed to be written.
When he sees patients, you were his assistant.
When he needed to buy something, you would help him carry things.

With you, he was happy he had one arm. Always with him, helping him, because you loved him. If only he knew.

Plop.

"Damn book. Just stay open." Law cursed at the book, the book that refused to stay open.

"Law, do you need help?" You questioned him from the corner of the room, sitting at your desk.

He turned to you and have you a glance. You stood up and walked over to the chair.

"Sit on my lap." Nodding, you sat down on your captains lap, and picked up the book he was reading. You tilted your head slightly to the left, exposing your neck, so he would be able to read. You held the book firmly in your hands keeping your head out of the way. He rested his chin on your right shoulder.

After a few moments, Law spoke.

"This isn't working ____."

"Law, what do you mean it isn't working?"

Law slithered his left arm around you waist, pulling you closer. He blew on your neck sending chills down your spine.

"It's too tempting." He licked the soft spot on your neck, receiving a rather rewarding moan from you. You wrapped your right hand on top of his head signaling him to continue. And so he did, leaving a few markings along your neck.

"I love you, ____." He pecked your neck.

"I love you too, Law."
